College Level Societies:
Government College University has always provided its students rich opportunities for overall development. A round of intellectual, cultural and sports activities engage the students on any working day. All the college societies function under the guidance of the societies board.
| The College
Debating Society promotes the students’ skill in declamation and
disputation. Regular intra-College and inter College debates polish the
students’ elocution skills. Government College Dramatic Club has a century long tradition of performing stage plays, and continues to be vibrant and creative. |

The College Music Society holds weekly music concerts at the College, where both popular and classical music is presented by the students. Various literary circles regularly function in the College where students engage themselves in literary and intellectual pursuits.
The College Literary Magazine, The Ravi, has always been regarded as major literary journal in the country, and maintains high literary standards. The Scientific Ravi reflects the students’ scientific endeavors.
The Environment Society has been playing a very tangible part in developing consciousness among people about the significance of environment in a same society.

Athletics meets Gymkhana Sports and Hockey and Cricket matches are colorful and exciting events in the life of the City.
