ACCOMMODATION

Day scholars are expected to put up with their parents. Those students who are desirous of living with some close relative other than the parents should produce a written permission letter signed by his father or guardian that he can do so. The name of the relative, his occupation, designation, address and precise relation must be specified. It will not be enough to write that the student is going to reside with his cousin.

EXTRACT FROM THE HOSTEL REGULATIONS

1. Residence is at all times subject to good behaviour and can be withdrawn at any time in the interest of hostel discipline.
2. Every resident is expected to maintain discipline, peace, in the hostel, and to respect the rights of others.
3. Use and keeping of liquor, drugs and weapons, licensed or unlicensed in the hostel is strictly prohibited and entails expulsion from the hostel.
4. No religious, social ceremony or political meetings likely to injure the feelings of any resident are permitted.
5. Every part of the hostel premises will be open to inspection by the authorities at all hours.
6. Membership of the hostel mess is compulsory for every resident.
7. The resident must pay his monthly dues by the 10th of the next month at the latest. The defaulter may face expulsion from the hostel.

MOSQUE

In order to facilitate Islamic teaching and the observance of the five obligatory prayers, there is a Mosque situated on the college campus. Friday prayers is also on the mosque.

COLLEGE UNIFORM

According to the College rules every student of Government College Lahore, is required to be in the College uniform. The purpose of specifying a College uniform is that College students should possess a distinct identity and also that they refrain from wearing expensive and showy clothes. The College has prescribed the following uniform for College students.

WINTER (1ST NOV. TO 21ST MARCH) SUMMER (1ST APRIL-TO 31ST OCT)
1. White Shirt 1. White Shirt
2. Grey Trousers 2. Khaki trousers
3. Maroon College Blw, along with College Badge/Crest, or Maroon Sweater and Black Shoes. 3. Black Shoes.

Students not wearing the prescribed uniform can be checked by any proctor within College bounds. Students not wearing-the college uniform will be fined Rs. 50.00/-

Smoking within the College premises is strictly prohibited. Those who violate this rule will be liable to punishment. Any staff member can check a college student within the premises- of the College and fine the student found smoking.

THE COLLEGE GAZETTE

Generally, the College Gazette is published every Thursday except for holidays. It contains all orders, notices and program as well as essential information about the College activities. It is presumed that the notice published in the College Gazette, has reached everyone concerned. Thus lack of knowledge about essential information published in the College Gazette will not be accepted as an excuse.

STUDENTS WELFARE FUND

Students Welfare fund, managed by a committee, provides financial assistance to the needy students of the College, who should contact President of the Committee for this purpose.

TUTORIAL SYSTEM

Every student is given membership of a tutorial group when admitted in the College. The president of the tutorial group is a teacher and is called a tutor. It is essential for every student to get a "Dossier Form" from the tutor at the earliest and to return it to the tutor after filling it in. Every student should contact his tutor in the first available time and enquire about his availability for consultation during a free period of the working days. It is compulsory for every student to present all his documents i.e. application for relaxation in fee, concession in fine or application-for scholarship and character certificate etc., to the Principal through his tutor. The Principal will not issue any orders on the applications directly given to him. Tutorial groups have a weekly meeting in which attendance is compulsory. In case of absence from the tutorial meeting there is a fine of Rs. 50,- per meeting which cannot be remitted.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Medical facility is provided to the students. A Medical Officer and his staff are available daily except on Sunday. The clinic is located in the New Hostel.

COLLEGE IDENTITY CARD

It is compulsory for every college students to get his identity Card from the College Office immediately upon his admission. Defaulters will be fined. Students are directed to contact Mr. Khadim Ali Khan, of Geography Department in this connection.
In order to prevent misuse of the College Identity Card, the following fines have been imposed.
1. If an Identity Card is lost, a new Card will be issued for Rs. 100/
2. A student should keep his Identity Card with him during College hours and it should be produced on demand by a staff member . Students found without identity card will be fined Rs. 50/- Refusal to show the identity card can entail a heavy fine, which will not be remitted.
3. It is compulsory for every student to hand over his Identity Card to the College Office for record, upon his being dropped from the College Rolls, his migration to another college or upon the termination of the college session.
4. For travelling purposes a separate Identity Card can be obtained by a student from the college office.

PROCTORIAL SYSTEM

To maintain discipline and order in the College, there is a Proctorial board comprising of staff members.
Cases of violations of college discipline should be reported to the Chief Proctor, who will immediately take appropriate action. Any fine imposed by the Chief Proctor or the Proctorial Board cannot be remitted or reduced.

ARMS

No College student, day scholar or boarder, is allowed to possess arms of any kind, even if he has an Arms licence. Those who violate this rule will be punished according to law.

SECURITY AND PARKING ARRANGEMENTS

A comprehensive Security System has been organized at the College, in order to provide interference-free environs for the academic, co-curricular and sports activities at the College Students are expected to extend the fullest co-operation to the security staff in the execution of their duty and to help maintain order and discipline on the campus.

PARKING FACILITIES

The College provides parking facilities to the College students. Students who wish to benefit from the parking facility for Cars/Motor bikes are directed to contact Major Said Khan Incharge, Security and Parking arrangements.
The possession and the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited within the premises of the College/Hostel. Those who violate this rule will be penalized
