DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE The Department of Computer Science, Govt. College Lahore started in 1999 in a purpose built beautiful building. The department has air-conditioned computer laboratories. The teaching laboratory with an NT based network of 25 computers is used for courses offered by Punjab Information Technology Board and Microsoft Corporation USA as a part of faculty training Programme. It is also available to students. A working laboratory consisting of 40 Computers and modern printers is available for general use. The students have access to Internet which makes their training more effective and productive |

BCS (Honours) Program
1-
BCS (Honours) degree program is of four duration, divided into eight
semesters.
2-
Each semester is of 18 weeks duration consisting of 16 weeks for teaching
and two weeks for the examinations.
3-
The curriculum of study has been specified in Annexure-A. It may change
from time to time.
4-
The medium of instruction for all courses is English.
5- Deserving students on merit offered financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria
The
applicant (Male/Female) must have passed in supplementary 1999 or later:

Intermediate examination with Mathematics from any Board of Intermediate and
Secondary Education in Pakistan, having obtained at least 60% marks.
OR
*
A-level/12th grade examination with Mathematics having obtained at
least B-grade or equivalent.
OR
*
B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics having obtained at least 60% marks.
Selection
criteria
Admission
will be strictly made on the basis of the score obtained in the Entry test.
Fee
Structure
a-
Tuition Fee Rs. 30,000 per semester.
b-
Admission Fee Rs. 12, 000 (once at the time of admission)
Time
Schedule
The
fall semester of each academic year will commence in September/October and the
spring semester in February/March of the calendar year. Examination will be
conducted in the 18th week. Results will be declared within four
weeks of the conclusion of final examination.
